The Latest in the Series of Unfortunate Events...

So I went to the doctor's today and they said that I managed to fracture one of the bones in my foot in a couple of places yesterday. I get a cast tomorrow and will probably have it on for the next 6-8 weeks. This means a) no Firetrails but probably b) no 9 Trails either! Boo. This was not good news for me.

Oh Victoria, sorry to hear of your injury and having to have a cast on. I'll say it for you - THAT SUCKS THE BIG ONE! Time to strengthen that upper body maybe? I can certainly empathize with you. Stay strong.

I am sooooo sorry to hear about your injury. 6 to 8 weeks? Ok, that means you get to relax until right around Thanksgiving. Stay positive.

Hey Victoria,

I'm sorry to hear about your injury - hope it heals quickly for you!

I recently came across your blog and enjoyed reading through your archives as a fellow runner. In fact, I even shared it with some of my trail running friends here in the Bay Area.

Over the past few months, I've been helping build http://www.ontri.com - a community-based website for marathoners and triathletes. I wanted to let you know about the site, and wondered if you would be interested in posting about it in your blog.

Keep on running,
Josiah

Sorry to hear. You called it though, you knew something was broken. That sucks. It was good to meet you nevertheless and I hope the healing goes well. You are speedy with the race report.

Oh SH*T! You've got to be kidding me!? Sorry to hear about that. You definitely get the courage award for the race yesterday. Good luck with the healing.

Wow, that is horrible news, but you are one tough cookie to get to the finish line with broken bones. I know you will be mentally tough for any situation in the future. Hope everything heals well.

I'm glad you're okay though. If I see you around (maybe at a work related event?) I promise not to tease too hard if I'm allowed to sign the cast!

Oh no! I laughed when I read about the bees, but felt terrible for you when I got to the part about your foot. How disappointing.

On the other hand, since you obviously won't be getting dirty for a while, you could still continue to entertain us all by being "flirty 'n wordy"!

Hey Victoria,
Did you at least get a pink cast?
